  • Location Data: GPS coordinates are collected only during active emergencies to dispatch responders to your location. We do not track your location outside of emergencies.
  • Device Information: Device model, operating system, and app version for compatibility and security purposes.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the app, including emergency requests, subscription activity, and feature usage.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To dispatch emergency responders to your location during an active emergency.
  • To verify your identity and prevent fraudulent use of the platform.
  • To manage your subscriptions and connect you with security firms.
  • To detect and prevent prank or false emergency requests using AI-powered detection.
  • To improve our services, performance, and user experience.
  • To communicate with you about your account, emergencies, and service updates.

3. Location Privacy

Your privacy is our priority. Location data is:

  • Only collected when you trigger an SOS alert or have an active emergency.
  • Shared only with the responding security firm during the active emergency.
  • Retained for 90 days for incident records and dispute resolution, then deleted.
  • Never sold to third parties or used for advertising.

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

  • Security Firms: Your name, phone, and location are shared with the security firm you subscribe to, only during active emergencies.
  • Payment Processors: Ozow processes payments securely. We do not store your banking details.
  • Law Enforcement: If required by law or court order.

5. Data Security

We protect your data with:

  • End-to-end encryption for all communications.
  • Device attestation to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Secure token-based authentication (JWT).
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

6. Your Rights

Under POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act), you have the right to:

  • Access your personal information.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your account and data.
  • Object to processing of your data.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
